What you are looking at is one of the coolest trucks to go pick up mulch from your local home improvement store!!!
1986 F150 built as a driver to enjoy and not worry about getting used as “a truck” but still look cool. Started off a a low mile XLT trimmed truck with power windows, etc. Resprayed antique white, all XLT trim has been painted gloss black. All exterior lighting has been professionally “tinted” with automotive paint to last, (not cheap spray can junk). Headlights were replaced with real Truck-lite brand LED 5×7 headlamps.
Rolling on a set of 15″ Rocket Racing aluminum wheels, wrapped in Coker wide whitewalls!!! A “peep” mirror added to complete the old school look.
Suspension has been lowered down with help from DJM dream beams and rear kit. New DJM drop shocks all around. New brake master cylinder and booster, new front pads and pins.
The 351 Windsor has a fresh tune up, new fuel filter, new mechanical pump. Most notably a new FiTech 600 series EFI conversion, was added for drivability and reliability. It is sitting on an Edelbrock intake manifold, and the spent gasses are expelled thru headers and a custom dual side exit exhaust system. The C6 transmission has had a recent rebuild.
Interior has been redone with new cream colored seat and door panel inserts, black carpet and lower doors, “euro” style material covered headliner to match. Sony CD, Bluetooth new radio installed in dash. FiTech fuel injection controller is installed on dash for easy access to view, tune, etc.
Power windows work fine newer motors and switch. Power locks are inop.
ICE COLD A/C!!!
Again this a really nice driver quality truck not a trailer queen show truck. It has some blems, not perfect, just trying to be as HONEST/correct as possible.
Really reliable since EFI conversion last year (daily driver). Just recently took to Daytona Beach for the Spring Turkey Rod Run Car show earlier this year. Approx 400 miles round trip, interstate, etc, 0 issues.
